Cortland Memorial Foundation is proud to offer several scholarship and
loan opportunities to provide financial assistance to employees who are
pursuing health-related careers and to those want to expand upon or advance
their existing career.
Lawrence J. Dippold Health Education Loan Program Health Education Loan
Established in 1989 by the Cortland Memorial Foundation Board of Directors,
this loan program is designed to financially assist individuals in pursuit
of health-related careers and to ensure an adequate number of trained
professionals to staff Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Margaret E. Reynolds Scholarship Loan for Nursing
Established in 1991 by Frank H. Reynolds in memory of his wife and in recognition
of the nursing staff at Cortland Regional Medical Center, this program
is designed to assist employees of Cortland Regional Medical Center who
wish to enter or advance in the field of nursing.
Tuition Buy-Back Program
Established in the fall of 2001 through collaboration between Cortland
Regional Medical Center and Cortland Memorial Foundation, this program
is designed to provide funding assistance to qualified candidates who
currently have student loans related to their position at CRMC.
Annette Atkinson Education Assistance Scholarship Fund
Established in 2006 by Kenneth Atkinson in memory of his wife, Annette
Atkinson, a registered nurse at Cortland Memorial Hospital for 41 years,
this scholarship assists a Cortland Regional Medical Center employee with
non-tuition related expenses.
Cortland Memorial Foundation Employee Assistance Fund Program
Just as our employees take care of our community and its most vulnerable
members, we feel it is just as important to help and assist our “work
family” in their times of need. Unexpected events can create financial
and emotional burdens. The Cortland Memorial Foundation Employee Assistance
Fund Program helps our employees who find themselves struggling with an
unplanned financial crisis without the help of available family and/or
