We know that being in an emergency room can be stressful but when you or
your loved one requires urgent attention and treatment, Cortland Regional
is committed to giving you and your family the best emergency care available
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Shorter Waiting Times
Recent improvements such as bedside registration have cut our patient waiting
times in half. Most patients see a physician less than 30 minutes after
arriving in the reception area.
The average wait times for commons tests performed in the ER are:
- Urine Test: 45-60 minutes
- Blood Work: 60-90 minutes
- X-rays: 60-90 minutes
- Ultrasound: 60-90 minutes
- CT Scan: 60-90 minutes
Fast Track Triage
Specializing in the treatment of non-emergency illnesses and injuries,
our Fast Track is a walk-in option which provides the type of healthcare
you expect to receive from your family physician, but after hours or on
the weekends, when most physician offices aren't open. This also helps
us prioritize the critical and the acute while helping keep wait times down.
Care by Emergency Specialists
Cortland Regional’s Emergency Department is staffed by professionals
with specialized training in Emergency Medicine. They are also certified

Comfort for Patients and Visitors
Our reception area offers a variety of comforts to patients and visitors
such as TV, magazines, and a children's activity center. TV and phone
service are available in most of our patient care rooms.
