On Friday, September, 21, 2018, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, the Cortland Memorial
Foundation hosted its annual, Harvest of Gold, raising $18,000 to meet
local healthcare needs. The 2018 event was sponsored by Family Health
Network of Central New York, CFCU Community Credit Union, KIK Custom Products,
Doug and Mary Ellen Bloodgood, Cortland Medical Supply, and McMahon’s EZ Acres.
Held at the SUNY Alumni House, guests sampled delectable hors d’oeuvres
and a diverse selection of beverages while enjoying the ambient piano
stylings of Rick Starmer. Four lucky ticket holders won one of four prizes
– an Early Bird Cash Drawing, a ruby pendant necklace, a Roger William
Photography package and tickets for an “Ithaca is Foodies”
dining and architectural tour.
Cortland Regional’s Emergency Department providers – US Acute
Care Solutions - were the night’s honorees. Mark Webster, Cortland
Regional’s President and CEO, acknowledged the honorees for their
support, since 1999, of the medical center, the Foundation and the Cortland
Bill Crane, emcee and Vice-Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of
Directors, announced the Foundation’s recent accomplishments including
celebration of its 40th Anniversary and exceeding the $40,000 goal for the “40 Years of
Giving” campaign to purchase new equipment for the Oncology Suite.
The Harvest of Gold proceeds will go towards meeting the critical health
care needs of the Cortland community.
