Continuing to expand its comprehensive specialty services, Cortland Regional
Medical Practice, in partnership with Upstate Urology, is proud to welcome
urologist Dr. Mahmoud Chehab. Through this collaboration, the Cortland
community will have convenient, local access to advanced urologic care
and surgical treatments.
“Our community’s health and wellness depends on Cortland Regional’s
ability to offer enhanced services that are delivered locally by exceptional
medical talent,” said Mark Webster, Cortland Regional’s President
and CEO, “Dr. Chehab is a welcome addition to our specialty team
and a tremendous resource for patients throughout the Cortland area.”
Dr. Chehab received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati
College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to joining the Upstate
Urology team, Dr. Chehab was a research fellow at the National Institutes
of Health (NIH) as well as a teaching assistant, peer adviser, and mentor
during his undergraduate work at North Carolina State University in Raleigh,
North Carolina. In his role at Upstate, he serves as both a practitioner
and an assistant professor of urology.
“My goal is to bring and offer state-of-the-art technology and cancer
care to the people of Cortland County with many services offered locally
at Cortland Regional Medical Center,” says Dr. Chehab.
Dr. Chehab will offer general urology services as well as treatments for
male and female incontinence; male infertility; kidney stones, and all
urologic cancer including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile
cancers. Through Cortland Regional’s partnership with Upstate Urology,
Dr. Chehab will provide his patients the best of both worlds – urologic
care close to home as well as access to advanced robotic technologies
at nearby Upstate Medical University. Dr. Chehab’s practice will
be located on the main hospital campus, and he will begin accepting patients
in August at 607-428-5757.
