Cortland Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is excited to announce our participation
in the United Way’s 6th Annual Polar Bear Challenge, taking place
on Saturday, March 5. Participating and/or donating puts funds into action
for many Cortland programs. We need your help to reach the goal of raising
$20,000, so show your support for the CRMC team by
making a pledge or come take the plunge with us!
The mission of the United Way for Cortland County is to build a stronger
community by investing in agency programs that help people improve their
lives by providing health and human services. Last year the UWCC helped
support 33,000 people in Cortland County through 26 programs. We can make
a difference thanks to the support of people like you!
Since 2012 the United Way Foundation has raised over $61,000 and CRMC is
a proud participant of events like the “Polar Bear Plunge”
in raising money for the community. Programs that benefit from this event
include the Red Cross, Catholic Charities, Child Development Council,
Family Counseling Services, Girl Scouts, YM and YWCA's, Salvation
Army, the 7 Valleys Health Coalition and many more. Show your support
for the community in making this another successful campaign by participating
or making a donation!
The event will take place at Yaman Park located on Kennedy Parkway in Cortland
at 9am on Saturday, March 5. Prove your mettle and support the programs
doing the best work in our community! For more information regarding participation
in the event or how you can make a donation, visit the
event web page or contact Abby in the United Way office at (607) 756-5639 or
