On Friday, September 23, Cortland Memorial Foundation hosted the 4th Annual Harvest of Gold fundraiser. Under a tent at the Lynne Parks ’68
SUNY Cortland Alumni House, 140 guests enjoyed an evening of music by
Rick Starmer, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar while mingling
with friends. Four lucky ticket winners won one of four prizes –
an Early Bird Cash Drawing, a weekend getaway to The Sagamore on Lake
George, a one-night stay at Greek Peak Mountain Resort, and a Dine Around
During the evening the Foundation took the opportunity to honor the Cortland
Community Foundation. Mark Webster, Cortland Regional Medical Center President/CEO,
acknowledged the honoree for its support of Cortland Regional Medical
Center and Cortland Memorial Foundation since 1998, and the Cortland community.
Mary Ellen Bloodgood, emcee and current President of the Cortland Memorial
Foundation Board of Directors, announced over $154,000 has been raised
in the current campaign to purchase two mobile digital imaging units at
a cost of $140,000 each. At the end of the program, Mr. Webster gave a
champagne toast to celebrate Cortland Regional Medical Center’s 125th Anniversary.
The Harvest of Gold proceeds of $17,000 will help to meet the critical
health care needs of the Cortland community.
The Foundation was grateful to have the generous support of its top corporate
sponsors: Gutchess Lumber Company, CFCU Community Credit Union, NBT Bank,
