The Cortland Country Club was the site for the
Cortland Memorial Foundation (CMF) 12th Annual Golf Classic. The event attracted 80 golfers, as well
as other invited guests, for a day of fun, golf, and fine food. This year’s
tournament raised money for the Foundation, which supports programs and
services at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Thanks to the generosity
of its many sponsors, this year’s CMF Golf Classic profited $73,000.
Since the first CMF Golf Classic began in 2004, the event has raised nearly
$900,000. "We are extremely pleased with this successful event,"
said Debbie Nadolski, CMF Executive Director. "The medical center
partners with many businesses, corporations and organizations on a daily
basis who enable us to provide the best care possible for our patients."
Ten corporate sponsors helped make the event possible: Emergency Medicine
Physicians of Cortland County; ENV Insurance Agency, LLC; Excellus BlueCross
BlueShield; First Niagara Bank, N.A.; Health Direct Pharmacy/Kinney Drugs
Foundation; IPD: Engineering; Schopfer Architects, LLP; Strategic Financial
Services; The Hayner Hoyt Corporation; and Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman
& Dicker, LLP.
Dr. Patrick Hayes, a retired member of the hospital’s medical staff,
Thomas Gallagher, chairman of C.M.H. Services, and Stephen Franco, former
Foundation Chairman, served as tri-chairs of the event. Plans will begin
later this year for the 13th Annual Cortland Memorial Golf Classic slated
for August 8, 2016.
