The transition from summer to fall often means we shift gears from vacations
to scheduled routines. Very often, we put our own health on the back burner
as a result of a lack of time, knowledge or stress. These changes in behavior
can lead us to seek comfort in food. As a result, unhealthy habits take
over and weight gain is inevitable.
If this scenario strikes a familiar chord, you have the opportunity to
do something for yourself. Learn how to eat properly, reign in emotional
stress eating and begin a healthier life!
Beginning on Wednesday, September 18th at 4pm, Dietitians at Cortland Regional Medical Center will lead a 10-week
nutrition-based healthy lifestyle class.
The entire program is being offered for $100 and will provide attendees
with a personalized meal pattern that includes healthy recipes, and a
nutritional analysis of your food choices. All participants will have
access to a dietitian during the session should they have concerns or
questions along the way. Supplemental educational resources will be available
to help further your knowledge and enhance your ability to make healthy
meal choices in the future.
During the course of the program, topics such as mindless eating, meal
planning, portion control, stress eating and label reading will be discussed.
Now is the ideal time to begin a program that can prepare you for the
challenging food choices of the holiday season. Contact Michelle Nardi,
