Mark Webster has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Cortland
Regional Medical Center, effective early January 2014.
The announcement was made Friday by Nancy Rongo, Cortland Regional Medical
Center’s Chairwoman of the Board. Mr. Webster comes to Cortland
from Ogdensburg, NY, where he has served as President and Chief Executive
Officer at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for 10 years.
“We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Webster join the CRMC family”
said Ms. Rongo. “The board is confident that his proven healthcare
leadership experience will serve us very well as we move forward in meeting
our strategic goals.” Rongo added.
Prior to serving as CEO in Ogdensburg for 10 years, Mr. Webster was a Senior
Vice President of Guthrie Health System in Sayre, PA and before that,
President of Troy Community Hospital also in Pennsylvania. He’ll
be leading the team at CRMC following nearly twenty-eight years in Senior
Leadership positions within healthcare organizations.

very caring professionals. I have been impressed with the physicians,
governance members and hospital staff and feel confident that the organization
can prosper and grow” shared Mr. Webster in a statement. “The
medical center has a long, rich legacy and we will build on this foundation.
Dianne and I sense that Cortland is a vibrant, welcoming community, enjoying
many partnerships with highly-regarded SUNY Cortland. While we are departing
a wonderful community in Ogdensburg, NY, we believe Cortland will be a
great place to call home.” He added reflecting on the new opportunity.
