The Administration of Cortland Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce
the addition of Sue McCall to its management team. Sue was recently promoted
to Medical Staff Coordinator. She succeeds Laverna Mastronardi, who retired
in December after 26 years of dedicated service to the medical center.
Sue is responsible for overseeing the functions of the Medical Staff Office,
which includes credentialing of physicians and maintaining medical staff
by-laws, rules, and regulations. She also acts as a liaison between the
medical staff, hospital leaders hip, and departments throughout the medical center.
Sue has been a member of the CRMC staff for 28 years. For the past 13 years
she worked in Administration as an Executive Assistant. She provided administrative
and office support for members of the Senior Leadership team and department
managers, as well as addressing the customer service needs of both patients
and visitors. Sue recently graduated from CRMC's new Aspiring Leaders
program which was created to help employees who wish to grow within the
organization develop skills for leadership positions. Topics covered include
planning, resource management, budgeting, communication, conflict resolution,
and data analysis.
Her career at CRMC began as a Senior Clerk in the Radiology Department,
followed by a secretarial position in the Food and Nutrition Department.
Born and raised in Cortland, Sue graduated from Tompkins Cortland Community
College with an associate's degree in Business Administration. Her
professional affiliations include the New York State Association of Medical
Staff Services. In her free time Sue is an active member of her church,
Abundant Life, and serves as its Secretary/Treasurer.
Sue now lives in Homer with her husband Gary. They have two children: Katilyn and John.
