The Administration of Cortland Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome
Dr. Robert A. Lambert to its medical staff. Dr. Lambert is a Board Certified
general surgeon performing thoracic (lung and chest), vascular (artery
repair and leg pain), and laparoscopic (hernia and gall bladder) surgery.
He also has a particular interest and expertise in breast surgery and
the treatment of breast disease. Dr. Lambert joins Dr. Kye Bang, Dr. Ho
Woon Lee, and Dr. Christopher Moheimani on the staff of Regional Medical
Practice-Surgery, 1095 Commons Avenue in Cortland. He can be contacted

Dr. Lambert brings 20 years of surgical experience to the Cortland community.
Prior to joining CRMC, Dr. Lambert was a surgeon on the staff of the Patricia
Numann Breast and Endocrine Surgery Center at SUNY Upstate Medical Center
in Syracuse. His surgical cases primarily involved treatment of thyroid,
parathyroid, benign and malignant breast disease. He was also a member
of the SUNY Upstate Medical University Trauma Team and provided surgical
support to Crouse Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Dr. Lambert spent much of his early medical career in New Hampshire, serving
primarily on the surgical staff of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover.
Born in Huntington, NY, Dr. Lambert graduated from Holy Cross College in
Worcester, MA. He then earned his medical degree from the University of
Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Lambert completed his general surgical
residenc y at SUNY-Stony Brook on Long Island. During this same time he
completed a fellowship in critical care.
Dr. Lambert's professional affiliations include the American College
of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
