The Corporate Compliance Officer is responsible for structuring the Corporate Compliance Program so as to comport with the requirements of the mandatory compliance program in New York State and for assessing the effectiveness of the Corporate Compliance Program in detecting and preventing wrongdoing and in promoting an ethical culture throughout the organization and its affiliates on an annual basis.
The Corporate Compliance Officer, in coordination with the Corporate Compliance Committee, oversees the development and implementation of the compliance work plan identifying and prioritizing high risk issues for assessment, remediation, ongoing monitoring, and self-disclosure. The Corporate Compliance Officer serves as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution. We are currently seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator to work part time in our General Surgery office. In this role, and under the supervision of the Breast Cancer Surgeon, you will provide support to cancer patients and their families as they enter the Cancer Program and monitor them throughout their treatment to assure coordinated multidisciplinary care appropriate to type and stage of cancer. Assists the Cancer Program physicians in the education of and support for family members, and ensures that the patient and their family obtains access to the various ancillary services, such as dietary, pain management, social work, etc. Participates in medical and nursing research as indicated. This individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to relate appropriately to the age of the patients served as well as knowledge of the cancer diagnosis.
