American Heart Association Training Programs
Classes are held throughout the year at Cortland Regional Medical Center. They are located in the Auditorium which is in the basement level of the Cortland Regional Nursing and Rehab facility, on the corner of Homer and Alvena Avenue in Cortland.

This smoking cessation program is FREE and open to anyone in Cortland County. The sessions will be held at Cortland REgional on the second floor in the 2C meeting room. Each session will run from 6pm until 7:15pm every Tuesday from April 5th to May 10th. Participants receive a free supply of nicotine replacement therapy and are strongly encouraged to attend all six sessions to improve their chance of becoming tobacco free.

Diabetes Education Classes
Monthly classes are designed to help people with diabetes and their families manage the disease. Registered dietitians and a certified diabetes educator on staff at CRMC will conduct the classes. Topics include Causes, Symptoms and Treatment of Diabetes; Nutrition; Testing for Sugar; Preventing Complications; Oral Medications and Insulin; and Exercise.

Diabetes Support Groups
Support Group for Type I:
For parents, caregivers, and people with Type I diabetes. The support group meets monthly on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the Auditorium. For people with Type II diabetes, their caregivers and friends. The support group meets the last Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the Auditorium.
