Meghan Pepper, RN
“I always knew I would be a nurse. The question was where. I started
out at a large hospital. But, for me, all roads lead to Cortland Regional.
I grew up in Cortland and followed in my mother’s footsteps –
she was a nurse manager in the labor and delivery department at Cortland
Regional. Even though my career path might seem a little pre-destined,
I would still choose Cortland. It’s a special place. Patients aren’t
just a number here. We know their names and can deliver the level of personalized
care that makes us feel good as professionals.
I love the team environment here. It’s a big difference from the
larger hospital I used to work at. I’m blessed to be surrounded
by great people on my labor and delivery team. All the people I work with
really love what they do which makes it easy to love my job.
From tuition reimbursement to student loan assistance to educational opportunities,
all the employee benefits here are excellent. I think it's wonderful
that Cortland Regional works hard to keep employees happy and gives them
incentives to stay at a small community hospital and provide the best
care that we can for the people of Cortland.
There is no question that I choose Cortland Regional."
